I was wondering what other screenwriters and creatives are watching. What are some of your top, go-to shows for inspiration? Mine are:
Game Of Thrones
Penny Dreadful
Stranger Things
Westworld
Vikings
The Boys
One Punch Man

Features and short films. I watch everything even if it isn't that good just to learn. I watched Lake Pacid 2 yesterday and...I laughed even though it wasn't a comedy.

Ben Johnson Jr. My daughter is home from college and as such, she wants dad watching what she wants to watch which is good for me because it pushes me to watch things, I wouldn't normally. So this week it's "Everybody Hates Chris". The title puts me off because I don't care for anything that on the surface sounds like hating a kid is funny. But lo and behold, the show IS funny and reminds me of growing up in the Bronx.

John C. Bounds I love "bad " movies. They're tons of fun and there's loads you can learn from them.

Leonardo, so important as writers to keep up with what audiences like, even if it's not to our taste.

Person of Interest, Burn Notice, Law & Order, Criminal Intent, The Closer, Justified, Ozark, Better Call Saul, (Lucky Hank is a snooze fest). Damages. The Usual Suspects, LA Confidential (should have won Best Picture in 97 instead of the bloated Titanic), No Country for Old Men, The Magnificent 7.
