I'm looking to connect with those who have previously worked or are currently starting an animation studio. I'm into animation and children's entertainment stories. If you have experience and love this, I'm happy to connect and create.

Is it that you are looking to collaborate or are you starting a studio and want to know what the challenges are?

Great questions, Kevin Jackson! Mia Balventy, the more clarity that you can provide, the better our community can provide you with advice and suggestions.

I’m not sure this site is very animation driven. Seems like it’s for live action.

Ah ok I get you. Well I recently started a studio, but not quite ready to partner as yet.

I'm curious as to how you plan to go about it, Mia Balventy. There are indie animation studios already in existence that you could partner with. Over the years, I've developed a relationship with one here in the Nashville area. The challenge, however, lies on the production and distribution side of things and since I'm not as experienced on the production side, I've been taking in all of the educational webinars I possibly can from Stage 32. After all, animators have to be paid. So all that to say, I'm curious as to what your approach is. Hope you're well.

Andria Besancon, there's quite a lot of animation creators here at Stage 32. We have professionals at all levels and areas of the animation industry who spend time here in the lounge, volunteer their time for Ask Me Anythings, write blogs, judge contests, and teach webinars, classes, and labs here. We even have an annual New Voices in Animation screenwriting contest.
There are a lot of ways that you can network and learn from the animation community here. One way is by being present in this lounge. You also can send network requests to the authors of any of our animation blogs that you enjoy. Or you can use our browse tool to search for other people with animation backgrounds to connect with: https://www.stage32.com/people?name=&location=&roles=Animator

Hi Kim, so much depends on what you are looking to do. A studio with employees and a building? Or you have a project in mind and want to remote collaborate?
