Being inspired - Do you take care of your inspiration?

How have you been creative friends?

I hope these days are bringing you many creative ideas.

Today I share with you a reflection I had. My city is hosting an exhibition on Tim Burton and as a good cinephile and fan of his works I went to see, see up close material props drawn directly by his hand it gave me a beautiful feeling of closeness, I don't know how to explain it, it's as if I too felt close to the magic that created so many masterpieces and to be able to think within myself that nothing is impossible, you have to keep working hard.

This made me think about how important it is to stay inspired, even if life is difficult sometimes, on the one hand I was so captivated by Burton's magic that I wanted to be an illustrator too hehe.

Since I got home I've wanted to write thinking more about the fantastic, who knows, maybe something good might come out of it...

And do you have a place to go when you look for inspiration?

Do you have something or someone who sheds light on you in your dark moments with the magic of cinema?

I would be happy to know your answers

friendly yours

I like to search photos online for inspiration, Ugo Cavallo. And of course, watch movies and shows.

@Ugo Aside from watching creative films & socialising, (2 biggies for a lot of us) I tend to write or go to art galleries. You’re so right to address issue. We need to protect & nurture our inspiration on dark days. It cannot be taken for granted, inspiration is a blessing that given certain circumstances can dissipate into despondency. If not haunting galleries EgTate Modern or Henry Moore Institute I make life anything I want on the page! Do long distance hiking too to clear head of mundane traps. Where in Italy are you from?

Ugo Cavallo

Maurice Vaughan that's really good :)

@Debbie Are there any places in particular where you like to go hiking? This is an excellent suggestion, a change of scenery and breathing in a bit of nature has very beneficial effects on psychology. Optimal. I am from the northernmost part of Italy, the mysterious one where it is cold, there are mountains and it is said that my city is the summit of a triangle of black magic and a triangle of white magic, Turin

@Ugo Do walking in Chiltern hills village to village, South Downs Coast, Lake district & Yorkshire Dales UK. I used to hike in Spain but chased by dogs & bitten by insects I stopped. I did hills of Sacramento (spain not USA) above cave dwellings & part of Alpajurras before need climbing equipment. Sounds fascinating about the juxtaposition of white & black magic in your vicinity, I’d not heard about it, can feel a physic script coming on.

I gain my inspiration from observing real life. People and dramatic situations. I"m also a sponge for listening to people speak, then stealing their best lines. I"m a pretty happy and positive person, so, fortunately, I don't experience dark moments in my life.
