Hi, all!
I regularly try to introduce myself during this event, if only to make new contacts among the wonderful folks here. The biggest news recently is that Blood & Gold--an audio adaptation by Realm Media of Blood and Gold, an epic historical Western about infamous gold rush-era bandit Joaquin Murrieta that I wrote with two-time Emmy Award winner Peter Murrieta (a fifth-generation descendant of Joaquin), won silver in the Signal Awards. (It was in the podcast cover art category, so not as cool as it might be--and actor Richard Cabral, who voiced the piece, should've won for his brilliant work). But it's still recognition for a fantastic audio adaptation of a novel that's received raves in the L.A. Times, the N.Y. Times, and other outlets, and is especially meaningful to members of the Latino population. (Did I mention that the book's cover art (not the podcast art) is by Jorge multiple award-winning animator/writer/director/producer Jorge Gutierrez (Maya and the Three, The Book of Life, El Tigre, etc.). Here's one of the book's many fans, who some of you might recognize.
I hope everybody who celebrates it has a great Thanksgiving, and a productive year ahead!

Thanks, Maurice! This is indeed Mario!
You're welcome, Jeffrey J. Mariotte. The "Saved by the Bell" theme song is stuck in my head now. Haha Is the "Blood & Gold" audio adaptation on Google Podcasts?

Maurice Vaughan, I hope you enjoy it. Marco Palmieri, the producer, used to be an editor at Pocket Books, who I worked with on some novels, and the adaptation was by a writer/editor named Greg Cox, who I've also worked with in his role as an editor at Tor Books. So it was kind of like old home week for me.
