Their share of the television audience is roughly 20 million viewers, having fallen substantially in recent years. The cinema gained enormously in 2023 owing to the “Barbenheimer phenomenon”, Barbie made $1.2 billion and Oppenheimer $1 billion at the box office which has picked up in USA, though it is still only 2/3 of that pre-Covid. Hopefully this ceremony will lift its profile
