Hello everyone. If someone, in this case myself were to ask you "Who would you refer or suggest to assist in securing funding for your film" What would your suggestions or recommendations be?
For context: As an entertainment publicist, I have three clients with amazing film projects, each in either Developement/Pre Pro. Each are in need of funding, have pitch packets shared in a variety of spaces, including emails sent to potential funders but have reached dead ends. They're not looking for a 'capital loan' who would be your 'goto' and why? If you prefer to share info privately, feel free to send me an email to donna@oleanderpr.com

Hi Donna, what type of financing are they looking for? Getting financing for development is a tough call - I wouldn't take on anything in this stage unless I can verify several things (producers or writers have already invested some of their own resources, how packaged it already is...). Going to a potential investor when it's too soon in the life cycle of the project could be the case here. Also, are they sending out a clear ask and investment proposal? Is there any kind of structure? What security is offered? Hope that helps.

I would suggest they partner with an established producer with the resources and experience financing films (or television productions).
