We are in the process of selling our script (the producers have a lot more experience than we do) and think it is time we got an attorney or agent to represent us. Any recommendations will be appreciated.
Congratulations, Rodney! Since you have a sale pending, just call an agency, let them know you have a sale and need an agent. They'll get one on the phone to work with you. Here's a link to agents looking for new submissions, writers. Feel free to search on your own for an hour to see what you find. Avoid the big agencies - WME, ICM, UTA, CAA - as they would prefer studio level deals. Some say preferred method of contact is email, look 'em up, call 'em: https://blog.reedsy.com/literary-agents/los-angeles/
I don’t know if you need this advice. But attorney for sure. They have to defend their advice, that is why they have liability insurance. The law is a strange beast.
