Canceling the sitcom thomas due to not enough people interested in voicing the characters

Hello everyone its been a few weeks since i last been here i was sick but it wasn't with covid just allergies. the reason why i am posting tonight is that there are no voice actors near me that are interested in voicing my characters... i always loved a animated series since i was a kid but i am going to keep the show on pause until i find the right people but i decided to work on a new animated comedy series but finding an agent won't be easy. what should i do?

Amanda Toney

Hi Kiara - i’d recommend posting this in the acting lounge to see if you can get some interest from actors in that lounge. I’d also post this as a job in the job section here on Stage 32. Just click jobs on your top menu bar.

Welcome back, Kiara P Oxley. Hope you're feeling better now. Have you thought about hiring national and international voice actors? I'm thinking they could record their parts where they are and send you the recordings.

Lenny Levy

Hi! I'm local (Gaithersburg) and have done some voice over work. I'm available to help you.

Ashley Renee Smith

Maurice is absolutely right, Kiara P Oxley! You should be open to connecting with voice actors all over the world. The great thing about voiceover is that you don't have to be in the same space. They can record their sections and then send them to you from wherever they are. As Amanda mentioned, we have a Jobs page where you can post a listing. Here is a link that you can use to go to our job board directly: https://www.stage32.com/find-jobs

With the power of the internet you're not limited in who you can reach with your show and who you can work with for these voices. You can always direct your voice actors live while doing readings online if you like to be more hands on. Don't give up on your project Kiara P Oxley those voices are out there.

Hi Kiara, I have been voicing my spy novel audiobook using PlayHT and its 100+ ai voices. You can listen to a rough cut of Chapter Two on my website www.mildmanneredmen.com

How many voice actors do you need? Are you able to pay? Do you want to record remotely or do you have a facility where you will have the actors come to record? Thanks!
