Screenwriting : Liver pitch tomorrow by Micke Askernäs

Micke Askernäs

Liver pitch tomorrow

So, tomorrow I'm doing my first live pitch call here on Stage 32.

I feel ready for it, I know my story, I know what I want to say and I know I'm a good story teller as long as I don't get nervous. 25 years+ on stage as magician/mentalist might help me there... =p

However, the one thing I haven't gotten my way around is: I have a pitching time, but is the idea to be on the zoom call from beginning to end and hear everyone else's pitches as well?

Sorry for silly question, but it IS my first time, so .. ;)

Thanks,

Micke

Alicia Vaughan

All the best to your live pitch for tomorrow Micke. I don't think you will hear everyone else's pitches though.

Maurice Vaughan

Don't wear the straitjacket during the pitch, Micke Askernäs. Haha I've only done written pitches on here, but I don’t think you'll hear anyone else's pitch. Hope your pitch goes great!

Simon Wakelin

OK you'll get called on Skype or your phone, whatever you selected, and you'll have your slot to pitch, don't go over 6 minutes to give room to quickly chat about the project! Best of luck...

Bill Albert

How did it go?

Susan Joyce DuBosque

Congratulations! Hope the pitch goes well.

Micke Askernäs

It went well. I got some good feedback on my pitch, but it is hard pitching an entire movie, telling who you are and why that movie resonates with you in such a short time =)

Simon Wakelin

— definitely join Pitch Practice every Thursday! it really helps!

Maurice Vaughan

Glad to hear the pitch went well, Micke Askernäs! Have you seen this free webinar on pitching: www.stage32.com/education?p=8944895721779

And if you're a Stage 32 Writers' Room member, I suggest checking out the weekly Pitch Practices (www.stage32.com/writers-room). The Practices are the best for learning how to get better at live pitching.

If you’re not already a Writers’ Room member, you can sign up for your first month of membership free here: www.stage32.com/writers-room/plans-vip

Thanks, Maurice Vaughan . I am a member of the Writer's Room, and unfortunately, living in a vastly different time zone (Sweden), the weekly pitch practices is a little too much in the middle of the night for me :( I would have loved to attend and there's a great possibility that I will in the (near?) future...

Simon Wakelin

— looking forward to hearing your pitch in Pitch Practice… it’s a great crowd!

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Micke Askernäs. Hope you're able to join in the near future.
