Financing / Crowdfunding : Tokenization by Reggie Cook

Tokenization

I’m considering using tokenization to fund a film. I have an organization that specializes in tokenization. any thoughts, opinions, or insights?

Hey Reggie Cook , There are several companies out there that have ventured into this space as you must be aware. It feels like it cooled off with the ethereum/bitcoin/NFT retrenchment and some had a bit of traction making films. It's an interesting concept and seems like one that will have recurring attempts and a shot at longevity. Basically seems like a crowdsourcing with better accountability. Bit complicated and new for many to get their heads around, but sophisticated crypto cats should find its merits. Good luck with it and keep us appraised of your progress!

Reggie Cook hey reggie it can work ! my first animation series was completely funded off an nft collection !!! my advice would be add something in the nft that would make it valuable for them to purchase and also not sell them!

(for example , every-time one of our characters would pop up in the show , the owner of the nft would get something like basically there royalty )

Reggie, Wish I could help but have no idea what it is! Good Luck, though.

I agree with Chase Cysco - I have only been a part of one project that tried this a while back but the key was a celebrity attachment to the token - something that made it valuable in its own right and not completely dependent on the film becoming a cultural touchstone that elevated the value of the token. We never got the right celebrity and thus the model never materialized. But it is possible, as Chase states. Keep us in the loop on your progress
