Dear All:
Please forgive me for not responding to you earlier. Kay Ross featured me on your Top 10 Posts Blog three years ago and invited me to contribute to this site. I'm promoting Kata worldwide, and the response has been excellent.
I'm gleefully riding the "Bob Marley: One Love" movie coattails. Bob Marley is mentioned, and his songs are featured in the Kata story. The Marley movie has grossed $177 million worldwide, making it the ninth-highest-grossing film of 2024. Also, my father, Dr. Leonard E. Barrett, Sr., wrote the first international-selling classic book on "Rasta" called "The Rastafarians." It is to be mentioned and shown in the Kata story.
"Kata, the Iron Thorn" weaves supernatural, superhero, and spooky family fantasy elements, anchored by a profound emphasis on non-violence. The narrative seamlessly intertwines the contemporary world with the legendary Jamaican warrior, Kata, who once confronted pirates and ghosts (Duppies) in 1655 Jamaica.
The story resonates deeply with African and global audiences, exploring themes of violence, greed, ignorance, and prejudice juxtaposed against wit and humor. With an intricate blend of action, romance, horror, and comedy, the tale has garnered acclaim for its multifaceted approach.
In contrast to many superhero fantasy narratives, Kata doesn't romanticize the hero's weapon. On the other hand, Kata's story warns about the perils of weapons, even those wielded by superheroes, like Kata's mighty magic sword called "The Iron Thorn."
Through the perspective of DJ Terry Lee Barrett, a character of Caribbean descent, the narrative bridges past and present. As the youngest descendant of Kata, DJ Terry Lee Barrett becomes enmeshed in an ancient saga that traverses time and space, unfolding against the backdrop of history and modernity.
The journey of "Kata, the Iron Thorn" has been marked by notable achievements:
• The novel received a five-star reception upon its release in May 2021. https://www.amazon.com/Kata-Iron-Thorn-Terry-Barrett/dp/0578785595
• An engaging 30-second animated commercial by Excel Digital garnered widespread attention, serving as a visual representation of the tale's allure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xk8-IHQrtvE
• A 12-minute presentation, aired on PHILLYCAM's Black Sci-Fi TV Show, delved into the intricate process of crafting the novel. https://youtu.be/C06bDlnw1rU
Moreover, the project boasts a diverse cast of characters that mirror the rich tapestry of our global society. Notable figures such as Idris Elba, Drake, Rihanna, Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Bradley Cooper, Luke Evans, Timothy Irons, and Grace Jones have been envisioned for pivotal roles, enhancing the project's appeal on a global scale.
I invite you to explore the "Kata, the Iron Thorn" world through our website: www.katatheironthorn.com.
Thank you for your time, and I eagerly anticipate discussing this exciting venture further.
Warm regards,
Terry Lee Barrett

Hi, Terry Lee Barrett. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Producing Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because it’s promotion. Promotion can go in the Your Stage Lounge and on Your Wall.
You can post your promotion in one of the main Lounges (Producing Lounge, Filmmaking/Directing Lounge, etc.) if your post starts a conversation that’s helpful and educational to the community.
Example: If you post about your film in the Producing Lounge, within that post you could start a discussion about your experience developing "Kata, the Iron Thorn," give a tip for developing a project, etc. This doesn’t have to be long, just something that starts a conversation that’s helpful and educational.
You can also post your promotion in one of the main Lounges if you're asking for feedback.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for correcting that for me. I had not looked at my Stage 32 page for a while and may have gotten confused.
