Self Introductions and also childhood PTSD

Hello, everyone. My name is Lad Makinde. I am a writer, director, and producer based in Phoenix, Arizona. As the title of this message states, introductions always tend to give me a little PTSD. I'm pretty sure this stems from countless first days of school growing up. See, my full name is Oladipo; I love my name; however, the teachers I had growing up, God bless them, always managed to butcher it. Some would try their best, 'Ohh-le-dee-po Mankind,' others just tapped out, 'ya, I'm not gonna try that one.' The latter always bothered me more, but both made me feel like somehow I had to make up for that initial awkwardness by being the most clever or creative person. I digress; this is not a therapy session. Anyway, like many storytellers here, I want to connect - truly. More specifically, I'm trying to meet those amazing individuals with a knack for hustling/raising/getting/procuring finances to fund TV and film projects. Yes, those unicorns, those white hart stags. So, I'm happy to be here, and hopefully, this platform will be a pleasant surprise. Cheers.

Welcome to the community, Lad Makinde. I can relate. We moved a lot growing up. I went to so many schools. What projects are you working on?
