I’m originally from San Diego, California, but I’ve lived in Hong Kong since 2006. A few years ago, I retired, got bored, and decided to write science-fiction stories as a hobby. On Amazon, I've self-published five books and one collection of short stories, Cosmic Portal, of which one story, “Killing Hitler,” was accepted by the Hong Kong Writers Circle for publication in the Q4 (December 2023) issue of their magazine “The Apostrophe.”

And I contributed two short stories, "My Life Sucks" and "We, Robots,” to the 2024 SciFi Anthology: The Science Fiction Novelists.
Now that Covid is over, I’m back to traveling. I’ve recently returned from a month in California and Nevada, where I met many extraterrestrials that I plan to write about, including one who purchased a copy of Cosmic Portal. The aliens were very laid back, especially the ones in Las Vegas. And for some reason, I only saw them in pubs?
But on a more serious note, the life experiences I get from traveling help me write. Not to get too philosophical, but my writings are greatly influenced by, if not a reflection of, my travels. I think of my short story, “Writer’s Block,” from my collection Cosmic Portal, which I wrote while watching various aquatic events unfolding on a Thai beach.
There are a lot of aliens in Hong Kong, too. They’re everywhere. I know they’re watching me, so I’ve been writing about them, too. I just finished a 34K-word draft of a story. Stay tuned...

Hey, Michael A. Clement. You met aliens in Vegas, huh? When they get back to their planet, they're gonna tell the other aliens "What happens on earth, stays on earth." haha
