Hi everybody! I would love to work rather than remain idle, so if you have any sort of project- even getting your books ready for the EOY- please contact me :-) Have calculator, will travel! I'm listed on IMDB below and am happy to send you a more detailed resume should you like one. I have many years film accounting experience: creating/finetuning budgets, setting up charts of accounts, AP, AR, handling all paperwork and filing, payroll, state incentive programs and so on. I look forward to hearing back from you soon, Ruby Dee Philippa Brooklyn, NY Tel.(206)605-3026 rubyphilippa@gmail.com http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5418674/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

Hi, Ruby Philippa. It's great to meet you. How did you get into film accounting?

Hello used to work in film many moons ago, doing catering and craft services. I then ran my own restaurants for years, and when I got out of that biz, came back to film, using the accounting skills I'd picked up over the years from my restaurants. My first accounting gig, I told the LP that I knew accounting and I knew film, but not together. He took a chance, and I never looked back :-)

Maurice Vaughan I opened and owned Bandoleone (Pan-Latin), Tango (Spanish), and La Tienda Cadiz (Spanish deli/general store). Craft Services = Craft Services. I had a 40' truck with a full kitchen and made fresh everything every day. Now I still cook for fun, and do accounting for film, when the work comes back...

COOL, Ruby! I remember hearing back in the day rockstar's and record companies accountants used to hide band's coke dealer payments under other creative expenses, like a phantom sideman or engineer, etc. I'm sure that isn't done today. Right?

I'm hungry now, Ruby Philippa. :D Stage 32 has a Job Board (www.stage32.com/find-jobs). You might find film accounting jobs on it. And the Job Board is updated regularly.

Maurice Vaughan thanks I used to check it regularly but there are NEVER accounting jobs on this board...
You're welcome, Ruby Philippa. Hope that changes!
