Introduce Yourself : Charlie Sheen, Corbin Bernsen, and Wesley Snipes walk into a bar... by Doug Kayne

Greetings, everyone! It's time for another Introduce Yourself Weekend...and the challenge my posts bring. Five points to whoever can figure it out without Googling. This one might be a little easier...or not.

My name is Doug Kayne. I'm a comedian, writer, and actor hailing from the Los Angeles area. I perform regularly with my unscripted sketch comedy group Those Four Misfits (www.ThoseFourMisfits.com). We're a trio, but none of us are related -- no TWINS. Our next show is on Friday, October 25 at the Whitmore-Lindley Theater in North Hollywood. It would be a CARDINAL sin if you never catch one of our shows.

A couple weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be back on-set, filming a pivotal scene in a movie written and directed by someone I last worked with ten years ago (though I'd MET him a few years before that). You could probably call him an ANGEL for remembering me and casting me without an audition. Felt really good to be chosen...especially since I'm no MARLIN Brando.

I've also written the first season of a sci-fi comedy series, Going Commander, which we're preparing to shoot a teaser scene for before the end of the year (pending any obstacles). We're planning on shooting it in some ROCKY area -- probably somewhere like Vasquez Rocks (if you know, you know). Would love to get it on a streaming service so I can share it with you. I know the odds are ASTROnomical, but ideally I'd love to be one of the main roles as well (yes, I do have a dream cast). A guy can dream, can't he? I'm including a little teaser trailer with this post.

I've also done web series and theater, where I've played such varied roles as a PIRATE, a Lion, a Beast, ROYALty, and a GIANT, among others.
