My first foray into networking was an online screenwriting seminar for women over 30 (if I remember correctly) which actually helped me find my first writing group. We are based in different countries and, though we don't meet as often as we used to, we still support each other through the writing highs and lows and in life. It was the start of a friendship and being sisters in the screenwriting trenches.

Glad to hear the seminar helped you find your first writing group and started friendships, Lauren C. Brits! I've met a lot of people on Stage 32, and many of them became friends. Friendships are the most precious relationships in the film industry and TV industry in my opinion.
