This is always a fun weekend for us here at Stage 32. I always like to make a post that's fun and "left of the middle" (which, if you knew me, is very on brand for me lol). So introduce yourself...and share five random thoughts of movies.
I'm Brandy. I work on the Member Help team here at Stage 32 and I've been with the team since June of this year.
- I believe that people who were disappointed in "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" are the same people who walked into Jurassic World expecting to see Jurassic Park.
_ The soundtrack of the movie "Crooklyn" (my favorite Spike Lee joint) played as much of a role in telling the story as the actors.
- Spike Lee is a great director to study if you are a cinematographer. His use of lighting, lenses, and perspective are just the stuff of legend.
- It's not the Christmas season until I watch both of the first two "Home Alone" films and "A Charlie Brown Christmas"
- As a music head who is also a movie buff, I would love to see a retreat back to the time when scores were played by full orchestras live to film. I've seen it before and it would take a lot of rehearsal to pull off but it would be magical, especially a Has Zimmer score.

Hey Brandy Camille - thanks for all you do! We got to see a live orchestra perform the score for Star Trek Into Darkness as the movie was playing. Having played in an orchestra myself it was insanely awesome. And I'm with you, it's not Christmas until we watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas". That and of course, "Die Hard". My fav is "Home Alone 2" I think because I was born in NYC.
Hi, Brandy Camille. Hope you're doing great! I'm Maurice (we already met though). I'm a screenwriter, ghostwriter, commercial writer, and pitch deck designer.
My five random thoughts of movies:
I think there should've been a third Ace Ventura movie starring Jim Carrey.
It's annoying when characters in movies repeat the same information over and over again, especially when a character just said the info a few seconds ago.
I don't think the next Mission: Impossible movies should be the last one. They should make more M:I movies with Tom Cruise as the lead or cast a new lead.
Coming to America is one of the greatest fish-out-of-water movies.
I want to see a Michael Scott type character or a Mr. Bean type character play the lead in a Horror Comedy movie. I think it'd be hilarious!
