Script Coverage service - education and direction

I recently finished my first screenplay. It was something I had been dabbling at for over 10 years. I'd pick it up, add a scene, put it down, move somewhere, lose it, find it, etc etc. It got me through grad school, it was my reward for working on my dissertation, it was my mental break at the coffee shops away from family and duty, -and I finally sat and typed up all those legal pads worth of notes and rewrites. I never thought it would go anywhere- it was just a creative outlet- and as it happened, when I finally decided to try and do something with it, I was denied IP permissions from the estate- so- I decided to submit for feedback from Stage 32 so that I could at least learn what I did right and wrong.

The script coverage service was fantastic! I received a comprehensive critical assessment of my work. The constructive feedback was detailed, citing specific moments and points throughout the script that needed work, ways to make scenes and dialogue flow and read easier, and the reader was kind enough to help me with some basic formatting for beginners. The overall tone was that of professional help and respectful criticism. At no point was there condescension or even a hue of judgement.

Highly recommend the service for learning about yourself as a writer, learning about your script and hopefully for most of you, what the next steps moving forward will be on your journeys!

Well done on finishing your first screenplay. :)

Congratulations on finishing your first screenplay, Dania Fiorito! Sorry to hear you were denied IP permissions from the estate. I plan on using Stage 32's feedback service for the feature script I'm working on.

Thanks! Lesson learned for next time Maurice Vaughan LOL- seek IP permission BEFORE writing the whole damn thing ..hahahaha

congrats. I know that's a great feeling to finish it. I finished about 3 of them and each one is just as rewarding.

You're welcome, Dania Fiorito. Great advice!

Dania Fiorito you are a creative just use the existing work as clay and rework it into something new... for instance, change the genre for a start and go from there. Nothing is ever wasted!
