If you submit a short film to a festival, is it mandatory that you go too? Or does it depend on the festival?

Hi Tony. As far as I know it is not mandatory. They usually send you an invitation to stay in a nearby hotel at a lower rate or for free during the days that the event takes place, but I haven't seen a festival demanding the presence of the filmmakers.

none that I got into requires anything of you. they love when you attend though
