Hi, everyone! Happy holidays :) My name is Hannah, and I'm a Burbank-based writer, director, and musician (originally from the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.) After graduating from Emerson College in the fall of 2020, I made the move out west and have recently made my directorial debut!
My short film, HAPPY SADURDAY, follows a young woman struggling with survivor's guilt. She is learning to cope and reconcile her complicated relationship with her older brother, as she is rapidly approaching her 22nd birthday -- an age that her sibling didn't quite live to see. I was able to bring this story to life with the help of ONYX Films: an intersectional, female-led production company. This semi-autobiographical drama is currently in its festival run. I have two other indie shorts in the works -- I'm in pre-production for both, which I'll be directing and (ideally) releasing throughout 2025!
My work often skews toward surreal dramedy and horror-comedy. I aim to initiate judgment-free conversations on anxiety, fear, and mental health. Using humor to alleviate just a bit of life's heaviness, I love contributing toward projects that inspire hope, helping audiences rediscover joy in the aftermath of dark circumstances and making our struggles feel less alienating.
I'm always eager to connect with likeminded creatives! Would love to be part of a community where we can bounce ideas off each other, collaborate, or even just enjoy movie nights together (whether that may be virtually or IRL.)
