Your Stage : The Film Making Saga by Samuel Chambers

The Film Making Saga

Entry 012

This past week has been nothing short of transformative—one of those weeks where everything feels like it’s shifting into place, fast and all at once.

It started with an epiphany about my pilot script, The Constant Reminder. I realized how perfect it would be to debut the pilot at a film festival. By the time it’s ready, The Timid Bunny? will have a solid audience, and presenting it on a bigger stage could catapult the project to new heights. This idea feels like a turning point—a way to gain recognition and expand the reach of everything I’ve been building.

Then there was the win with my cousin. I pitched her the idea of becoming an ambassador for the project, knowing her background in track and field would be a perfect fit. She didn’t just say yes—she dove in with enthusiasm and is already bringing fresh ideas to the table. Her energy has been such a boost to the team.

Midweek, I got an update on the blog I’ve been working on for Stage 32. It’s looking incredible, and the thought of sharing my journey with such a vibrant community is thrilling. It’s surreal to see my work taking shape in a way that connects with others—it’s a reminder of how far I’ve come and how much more there is to do.

The highlight, however, is submitting a written pitch to Emily Hughes Jackson. Her background with projects like The Other Two and GEN:LOCK is stellar, and just knowing she’s reading my pitch feels like a huge step. Her experience and passion for storytelling could bring so much to this project if she decides to come on board.

And then there were the moments that reminded me of why I’m on this journey. I had an incredible conversation with Ais, Lavender, and Rillo. It wasn’t just a casual chat—it was one of those rare talks that leaves you inspired and recharged, with ideas bouncing around like sparks. Sharing my vision with them and hearing theirs felt like aligning with kindred spirits.

Finally, I sent a written pitch to Clayton Conroy at UTA as well. His expertise in animation development—working with Netflix, Warner Bros., and HBO Max—makes him someone who could bring immense value to this project. The idea of collaborating with someone of his caliber is both thrilling and nerve-wracking.

In just one week, so much has unfolded. Between festival plans, new teammates, inspiring conversations, and big pitches, I feel like the momentum is building faster than ever. It’s overwhelming in the best way possible.

Here’s to riding this wave and seeing what comes next!
