Introduce Yourself : Happy Weekend! by Mike Wilczynski

Happy Weekend!

I'm Mike. I've recently moved to Carmel, Indiana - lotsa fun. As I continue to put some polish on my first three projects, I'm ready to start a new one this weekend. My challenge will be determining the protag, as the outline has three key characters throughout. As some point, they all seem like the good guy/bad guy or bad guy/good guy. I think the story is really weird, so it will be interesting to put on paper.

Happy Weekend, Mike Wilczynski! Hope you're having a great year and enjoying Carmel!

I like to write multiple versions of my logline with different characters as the protagonist. That helps me decide who the protagonist should be. And I look at who will change the most throughout the story. And you said "I think the story is really weird, so it will be interesting to put on paper," so you might have to write the script and see who needs to be the protagonist.

That sounds like a really fun challenge Mike! Do you have any exercised you do to help youself out to figure out who you might chose? Might even be fun to throw it to the Stage 32 community to help brainstorm and help you out!

I took Maurice's advice, but also did the worksheet for the Nutshell Technique, which suggested it is a 'tragedy' and the bad guy is the protagonist, even though things don't work out well for him at the end.
