Hi everyone!
My name is Nhlanhla Mthembu ,and I’m a 19-year-old aspiring filmmaker with a deep passion for storytelling. I specialize in writing and directing short films, and I’m excited to be part of this vibrant community on Stage32.
For me, filmmaking is all about transforming ideas and emotions into visual stories that resonate and inspire. Whether it's crafting compelling scripts or bringing visions to life on screen, I’m driven by the magic of turning imagination into reality.
I’d love to connect with fellow filmmakers, writers, directors, and artists here to share ideas, collaborate, and grow together. If you'd like to check out some of my work, here’s a link: www.youtube.com/@WildFigFilms. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Looking forward to engaging with this amazing community and learning from all of you. Let’s create something incredible together!

Hello Nhlanhla Mthembu welcome to stage 32! You're in the right place, with the right people. I've made and met some incredible people on this platform and continue to learn something new almost everyday.
I checked out your YouTube - watched "Born From The Fire," First thing first, was that really a wild mushroom you ate?? Love the use of audio in your production. I'm an audio engineer and often times audio is the last thing we think about during production, aside from "A Quite Place," when's the last time you watched a silent film :) If there's a piece of advice I would offer my younger self is study the films you like watching with the curiosity of a child. How are they moving the story along? What shots are they using to tell the story? How is lighting playing a role in the storyline and storytelling? Be a sponge BUT also apply what you learn. Test everything. Create like a kid. Let go of any expectations and you'll go far. I look forward to seeing more content from you.
