Many congratulations to all the international Quarterfinalists in this year's competition - Fantastic achievement! I'm not sure I can believe I'm listed with you ... with my story about a 52yr-old American glamorous grandmother who divorces her husband and inherits his old offshore racing powerboat; defying all the odds she tentatively starts to race it - and wins; creates her own raceboat design company and seven years later, she’s the first woman to win the male-dominated World International Class-One Offshore Powerboat Championship, in UK waters off the Isle of Wight.
