I am a screenwriter at heart and I have pitched two screenplays during January. I am excited to find out how my written pitches went this month and I had fun working on the screenplays that I pitched. Currently, I am working on a werewolf romance screenplay and taking breaks due to writer's block. What does everyone do to help their self when they experience writers block?

Hi, Tiffany L Wade. Hope you're having a great year so far! A werewolf romance screenplay sounds interesting. I write until I get over writer's block or take a break.

Tell your self you're not gonna write and take a break. Your mind will be like nah we want to write now.

I like to watch movies that are similar to the genre I’m writing.

Welcome Tiffany L Wade. In Oct to Dec 2024, I was writing a drama with themes of nostalgia but got stuck on p43... I need to take it to the midpoint (that I know what I want to be) but can't think of good way there, it was a dumbass hole in my outline. So... I went to another script that I had outlined, sci-fi action with jets, so it's waaaaay different but I want to take it up to Act 2 before going back to the drama.
I feel that getting away from one for a while will let me come back to it with a fresh take. Best of luck with writing.

Michael Dzurak Thats good screen writer advice! SInce I have taken a break from this screenplay for a month now and I did the same for a Hockey novel. I may work on different projects and get my outlines to work!
