I learned to enjoy reading at age 19 when Miguel Cervantes taught me to “See life not as it is, but as it should be.” After decades in the sciences and academia surrounded by mostly white males, I’m passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion issues in my screenwriting career. I enjoy writing lead roles for intelligent, powerful, women and under-represented people of color as role models for future generations. This is where I stand in a tally of my first 94 scripts.

Hey, Tom Stohlgren. Hope your year's off to a great start! I write a lot of female-driven scripts with diverse characters. I plan on entering Stage 32’s female-driven screenwriting contest. Are you thinking about entering?
