Pitching out too loud?

Hello beautiful people...

I have launched a new web page to help pitch my screen play...I am getting amazing feedback but from potential viewers butvwill I put the industry off?

I have a question...

Should I add brief outlines of my key characters as well as the episodes?

A summary of the treatment?

Or am I giving too much away and spoiling my opportunity to get optioned?

I would live to hear your feedback and opinion?

Thanyou all in advance...

Hi, Simon Biggs. I think it's fine to add those things, and maybe even post one or two pages of your pilot on your web page. I don't think adding them will spoil your opportunity to get optioned. You want to give producers a full picture of your series.

Thanks Maurice Vaughan

Maurice that's great advice, I will do that!

Thanks again..

You're welcome, Simon Biggs.

And scratch my comment about adding script pages to your web page, Simon Biggs. I just realized you have script pages on your page. I didn't notice them in the picture at first.

Simon Biggs

No worries..I'm delighted you took the time to look...thankyou.

I think I may do the characters in the same way as I've presented the episodes...

Cheers

You're welcome, Simon Biggs. I like that idea (doing the characters in the same way). I've been thinking about making a website to promote my projects. I might make a web page instead. Thanks for the idea. Hope you get interest for your series from your web page!

Hi guys I have updated my poster for Commando Men .. any thoughts?

Jon Shallit

If they like it you won't have issues.

Simon Biggs

Thankyou

I like the new background in the poster better, Simon Biggs, but I think the poster is too busy/has too many words.

Simon Biggs If you're trying to produce this yourself, you should contact someone like myself who can assist with that. If you're trying to sell the script, then not only is this unnecessary, but it may ensure it never gets sold. Despite the current culture encouraging you to do a producer's job for them, scripts are still sold with logline, synopsis, treatment and a literary agent or invite from a producer you meet. Putting your treatment and script up in pdf format is not good - anyone can see it. Understand that there is no copyright in an idea, so now if a producer or another writer sees it and actually likes it - they just adapt the idea themselves.
