July Filmmakers Club Challenge Week 3 - Share Your Work for Visibility & Feedback

Hey Everyone,

It's so exciting to participate in this week's challenge. For those who don't know, I'm Lilton, Writer/Director based in LA. I wrote a whole Introduction over in the "Introduce Yourself" section (Come say hi!). I wanted to share with you the announcement teaser for one of the projects I'm working on that I'm over the moon about. It's called Oswald: Down The Rabbit Hole! It's A Horror/Fantasy Adventure that blends a hybrid of live action and animation. Think Who Framed Roger Rabbit meets Nightmare On Elm Street.

The screenplay received a "Recommend" on its most recent coverage, and we are still casting, but currently have named talent attached in Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) and Nora Freetly (Bad Haircut/Tik-Tok Fame)

Here's the logline: Art and some of his friends get transported to a place shrouded by dark Hollywood Magic. They come across Oswald's come-to-life cartoon Rabbit and must work together to escape their magical prison before the Rabbit gets to them first.

We're looking for Producers who can help get the film from screenplay to theatrical screens. There is an incredible team already behind the film, including an animation studio, a VFX company, and a stunt and fight choreography team.

And because this is my first post, I want to share the first 3 pages of the screenplay (I'll have to make separate comments since you can't upload PDFs or multiple images.

So, enjoy, ask questions, and thank you for taking the time to check out my post.

Hey, Lilton Stewart III. Congratulations on the Recommend! Congratulations on getting Ernie Hudson and Nora Freetly attached!

Fantastic teaser! I like the pages! The scenes have an eerie feeling, like the teaser. My favorite part is Mary's two lines of dialogue at the end. Haha I want to see this movie!

I followed your pages and the Oswald: Down The Rabbit Hole pages on Twitter/X and IG.

Thank youMaurice Vaughan!!

LOL! Yeah, those lines got a lot of laughs at the table reads. Thank you so much for checking it out and following us on social media! I can't wait to see it either, though I feel like I've seen it in my head a hundred times now, lol.

You're welcome, Lilton Stewart III. I had a few of my pages read at a mini virtual table read. It helped me fix some dialogue and action lines. I do a table read by myself when I rewrite a script, reading and acting out the script.

Walter Cain

this is awesome Lilton Stewart III I would love to see this on screen & I also love the way Gina is not playing any games about going near that house lol!!!

Lilton Stewart III

Walter Cain Thank you, LOL! The rest of that scene is one of my faves in the script!

Ryann Goldberg

This looks and sounds amazing! The concept of Oswald: Down The Rabbit Hole is so creative—love the mashup of horror, fantasy, and animation. The logline alone gave me chills in the best way, and having Ernie Hudson attached is huge! Can’t wait to see how it all comes together. Cheering you on!

Shadaè Lezama

This sounds wildly creative, Lilton Stewart III love the concept of blending live action and animation in a horror/fantasy setting. The “Roger Rabbit meets Nightmare on Elm Street” comparison instantly caught my eye, and it’s incredible you already have Ernie Hudson and Nora Freetly attached. Congrats on the “Recommend” as well! Wishing you continued momentum as you bring Oswald to life.

Lilton Stewart III

Ryann Goldberg Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so glad it resonated with you. That truly means the world!

Shadaè Lezama You put a big smile on my face! Thank you, thank you! I'll definitely keep you and the community informed on its journey. I'm truly grateful for the love!
