My name is Alexander Foyle -- thrilled to reintroduce myself to this great network. I'm a writer from the Denver, Colorado area focusing on feature length scripts and a couple of audio dramas as well. They've done fairly well in contests so far and I'm ready to dig up their bones and breathe life into them, as well as see what other haunts I can put together.
Usually, I tend toward Horror and Fantasy, but I'm also a history geek and a comedian at heart so many of my scripts include historical settings and at least a few knee-slappers (please check out my loglines and you'll see what I mean). I like wit and I like weird. And I especially like whiffs of creepy monsters in creepier bogs.
Love me a good creature feature.
Like a good movie monster, my love of writing has taken on many forms and is stronger than ever. I'm looking forward to new stories to write and new people to meet. Please feel free to reach out -- make connections, leave advice, and if nothing else, say hi.
As Aaron Mahnke might say: I like it when people say hi.

Hi Geoff! I found myself with the good fortune of excellent professors throughout my education who supported my writing journey. They were beyond encouraging and gave me the tools to expand my writing repertoire.

You're welcome, Alexander Foyle. Tremors is an incredible, fun Creature Feature! I was scared watching it growing up though. Haha My favorite in the series is Tremors 2.

Welcome, Alexander Foyle! I like the combo of history and comedy, it's not so common. While checking your loglines (very interesting) I discovered you're a fellow archaeologist! I can understand why you're fascinated by bogs :D

Lawrence Hughes Stern Hello! I'm thinking something along the lines of 50,000 volts, a laboratory full of chains and doodads, and an assistant name Igor?
Kidding. Mostly, I want to look at them with fresh eyes, take what I've learned since writing them, and make improvements.

Alexander Foyle the first scenario sounds like a good plan...:) Fresh eyes are important - your own or sometimes having a script analyst do notes...whichever way you decide to go, best of luck!

Chiara Torrisi Hello! I adore the blending of history and comedy -- the past can truly be stranger than fiction. I see you consult for historical accuracy. If you don't mind me picking your brain, what do you think is a common misstep when writing a historical story?

Ah, that's a great question, but also difficult to summarise, Alexander Foyle

Hey Alexander Foyle - I just checked out your loglines and the one I find the most intriguing is "Kings of Dirt". I wrote a l book and screenplay called, "Haven of Dante" where a descendant of Dante Alighieri takes on the nine circles and one of her ancestors from the 1800s joins her in the fight temporarily. A combo of history and comedy is a unique thing so I have no doubt you'll do well with that. Glad you're with us on Stage 32!

Hey Alexander Foyle, welcome back and thanks for such a vivid and fun reintroduction! “Whiffs of creepy monsters in creepier bogs” what a great line. Your blend of horror, fantasy, history, and humor sounds like such a compelling mix, and I’m especially intrigued by the audio dramas (a format that really lets writing and atmosphere shine).
