Hiya (again) stagers, old and new! I welcome the new, and thank the old. I'm one of the old. Been here a long time and grown a lot; emotionally and career wise (just in case you were thinking I was talking waist-line). I've seen this social media platform for media-creatives evolve and change a lot. It has grown up, too; into a virtual place that is like a big supportive family. It is a virtual space where you can feel safe, supported, valued and welcome. It is people just like you!
It isn't a marketing or self promotion space; there is, however, an entire lounge just for that, called YOUR STAGE, and you are encouraged to blow your own horn til the walls come tumbling down in there. And yes, Stage 32 does offer services, vital in this industry, that you can hire, but there is no obligation to do so! You will know when you have reached a point a service or educational offering is right for you. And let me tell you, there's nowhere else, short of Santa Monica with a bunch of industry contacts and a wad of cash in your pocket, you will ever get the kind of access to educators, executives, and professionals in the film industry that you can get on Stage 32.
Most importantly, first and foremost, Stage 32 is a community - a huge planet spanning family - of real people, with real feelings, real dreams and hopes, real needs and concerns, and all of us have a very real need to reach out and connect with each other. It is unlike any social media you can imagine because it is all about you. We (and I mean the people here, not the company) succeed when you do. The biggest, most stupendously important thing I have learned in my years here is that what you put out, you get back tenfold. And that is no exaggeration because we really are all in this together.

Hiya, Morgan Aitken! Fantastic intro! You're right. Stage 32 is unlike any social media you can imagine. I've met a ton of people, learned a lot, and had a lot of success on here, and it's the most supportive, helpful, and positive platform I've been on.

Just to be clear: In the Introduce Yourself Lounge, one doesn't post recent activities, promos, or successes but rather in the Your Stage Lounge? I'm a bit confused in that I'm seeing some crossover in both lounges...?

You can put those things in your introduction post in the Introduce Yourself Lounge, Milan Dragicevich. You just need to make sure you introduce/reintroduce yourself in your post.

Hi, Morgan Aitken, I know how far you’ve come and how much this community has meant to you and your growth. It shows in how you now champion others while continuing to grow yourself. I’m so grateful to have longtime members like you who can offer perspective on how grueling but rewarding this journey can be. We all have hard days, weeks, months, even years, but it’s how we come back swinging and push ourselves to be better that makes the ultimate difference. You’ve pushed yourself to grow and become a better creative professional and community member, and it’s made an impact on others. Ashley Renée Smith! , believe you me, the gratitude is all on my side of the chat. When I talk about the growth of Stage 32, I am referring to tireless and understanding folks like you! As the head of community, you are fostering a wonderful environment that gives misfits like me a chance to flourish and grow and learn, and finally find a safe family to embrace and trust. Having the opportunity to experience the boundless creativity and passion of others in this sometimes heartless 'industry' is really worth the world to me. This is my safe space, and my inspiration!
