i started my writing journey about two years ago. not knowing what i was doing i wrote an 8 episode series with a treatment for series two. then i learned all i needed was a pilot episode. fun mistake to make since i have now learned so much more with the help of an editor. i got to quarter finals in the golden script competition. i was happy. starting my new project. a full length movie. excited to see where it can go.
cheers

Congratulations on getting to the quarter finals!
Yeah, you usually only need a pilot script. A series bible and a pitch deck can help when you pitch too.
You could post your script on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

This is so cool❤️If you are thinking of producing a movie, I am an experienced actor looking for a role in a movie or series and I can participate in the work, what do you think?

Thanks for sharing your journey, Greg Skorich, what an exciting start! I’m Ashley, the Head of Community here at Stage 32, and I just want to say congratulations on making it to the quarterfinals in the Golden Script Competition! That’s no small feat, especially so early in your writing journey.
Your experience writing the full 8-episode series before learning you only needed a pilot is honestly such a relatable moment, and a great way to accelerate your growth. It sounds like you’ve built a strong foundation, and I’m excited to hear you’re diving into a feature next!
If you ever want feedback or guidance, I recommend joining the conversations in the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), and if you’re interested in connecting with execs or getting more support, check out the Writer’s Room (https://www.stage32.com/writers-room/plans-vip). For the record, writing a full 8-episode series isn't a bad idea. Even if it's a rough draft (done that before so I'm really talking about myself when it comes to saying "rough" just so we're clear), it can help give a good outline for where you want your story to go. And having a quarterfinalist placement in contestant always helps establishing credibility to your writing, so that's a plus.
Wish you the best of luck, Greg Skorich!
