I would love to invite you to submit stories for Fictra's October short story competition! Max 1500 words. The theme is 'The Secret Behind the Mask'. There is a cash prize to be won, and Scrivener licenses and bragging rights. We'll also turn winning stories into audio stories - owned by you!
Hi, Matt Watson. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Screenwriting Lounge and Authoring & Playwriting Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because they're promotion. Promotion can go in the Your Stage Lounge and on Your Wall.
You can put promotion in a main Lounge (Screenwriting Lounge, Authoring & Playwriting Lounge, Filmmaking/Directing Lounge, etc.) if your post starts a conversation that’s helpful or educational to the community, like giving advice or asking a question.
You can also put promotion in one of the main Lounges if you're asking for feedback.
Also, Stage 32 doesn't want members posting the same thing in different main Lounges on the same day because it can clog up the Lounges and other members’ posts won’t be seen. If you want to put a post in two main Lounges on the same day, change one of the posts significantly. Or you can put one post in a Lounge one day and put the same post in another Lounge on a different day.
Thank you for this. Apologies, I’m still trying to get the hang of the platform. I have reached out to some new people who will hopefully join me in my lounge. If there is anything else you think I should do please do let me know.
You're welcome, Matt Watson. There's a description under the title in each Lounge that'll tell you what goes in that Lounge. And if you're still not sure or you ever have questions about Stage 32, let me or another Lounge Moderator know. We have badges on our pictures. Or you could email support@stage32.com.
Hi Maurice, I hope you are well. I have a few questions regarding Stage32 if that's okay?
- how can I make the most of this platform? I am constantly looking for writers of all kinds. I'm also looking for illustrators, text editors and sound designers (but primarily writers).
- I just noticed the 'contests' tab. Can I post my own competition here? For example, we are currently holding a Halloween short story competition.
- as a moderator on this platform, how does that work for you? Are you paid for this? It would be great to get a bit more information on that if possible, as I'm looking for mods for my own platform, so it would be good to get a bit more of an understanding.
- where is Stage32's stance on ai and allowing ai in creativity?
- how many people are actively engaged on this platform?
"how can I make the most of this platform? I am constantly looking for writers of all kinds. I'm also looking for illustrators, text editors and sound designers (but primarily writers)."
You can make the most of Stage 32 by being active (in the Lounges, Blogs, at the live events, and messaging other members) and using Stage 32’s resources (like Script Services).
“I just noticed the 'contests' tab. Can I post my own competition here? For example, we are currently holding a Halloween short story competition.” I suggest emailing support@stage32.com about that.
“as a moderator on this platform, how does that work for you? Are you paid for this? It would be great to get a bit more information on that if possible, as I'm looking for mods for my own platform, so it would be good to get a bit more of an understanding.” Stage 32 Lounge Moderators greet new members, and we’re positive role models in the community, commenting on posts, daily blogs, and AMAs. We also lead conversations and share resources in the Lounges. And we move posts to the right Lounges and delete comments that go against Stage 32 community standards. Moderators aren’t paid, but we get coupon codes we can use for Stage 32 Education and Stage 32’s Certification program.
“where is Stage32's stance on ai and allowing ai in creativity?” I’m personally against using AI, but I’m not sure what Stage 32’s stance is. Someone at Support might be able to tell you.
“how many people are actively engaged on this platform?” There are over 1.3MM members on Stage 32. I’m not sure how many are active, but I see A LOT of active members.
