He's probably already written it! As I understand it, like dear Hans Zimmer, the thematic concepts are frequently completed way in advance of any cut of the movie. It is interesting, though, why JW has decided to return to the world of film, having firmly closed that door not so long ago. Could it be he had sketched a score following a discussion with SS months ago?
