Do you have to send a written pitch before their deadlines? I absolutely loath deadlines and I assume zoom and phone pitches only happen on the day - which, to be totally honest, I find horrifying because the sheer terror of trying to sell your idea to a complete stranger even without the pressure of a deadline adding even more anxiety is horrendous - but can written pitches be sent in advance?

Yeah, written pitches can be sent in advance, Tom Norton. You don't have to wait until the day of the pitch to submit it.

Hell yeah, fire ‘em in early; most fests let you submit way before the zoom, phone circus. Gives you breathing room to polish without the sweaty stranger stare-down. I’ve snuck mine in weeks ahead and slept like a baby. Let’s swap pitch hacks sometime; we’ll conquer the fear together.

What about sending written pitches to individuals, not competitions or festivals? Can you still do it before their individual deadlines?
I'm not sure, Tom Norton. You could ask the person, competition, or festival.

Is the feedback they send written? They don't make you do zoom calls when they send the feedback, do they?

Tom Norton - for pitches here on Stage 32, you get a scorecard a few weeks after the pitch session date. That's it - no zoom calls.
