Hello! New here, still learning how things work and where things go. As a networking site, does anyone have any tips for acquiring an agent? Mines a holiday script, if anyone would be so kind as to point me in the right direction or to another lounge they found helpful? Cheers!

Hi, Andre Jeanjacques! Welcome to the community. Stage 32 has a blog that'll help you navigate the platform and connect with creatives and industry professionals all over the world. Producers, directors, executives, writers, and more. www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...
Stage 32 had a Community Open House the other week. The recording is free to watch, and it'll also help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry pros. www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-s-october-community-open-hou...
And it's Stage 32's November Write Club. It's a chance to connect with writers, directors, producers, etc., and it could help you reach a goal(s). There's prizes too! If you're interested in joining Write Club, Week 2's blog will come out tomorrow.
I suggest building a portfolio of scripts (maybe 3-4) before you look for an agent.
I also suggest looking for a manager instead of an agent since you're a new screenwriter. You could pitch to managers through Stage 32’s Pitch Sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions)? The main purpose of the Pitch Sessions is to get feedback to improve your pitch, but sometimes the managers, executives, etc. will request scripts, sign writers, etc. (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/success-stories).
You could post your script on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. Maybe managers too. That and networking are how I sold four short scripts to a producer. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)
You could enter screenplay contests. Stage 32 is the Global Screenwriting Contest Hub (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/contests).
Stage 32 has free in-person Meetups that are great for networking (www.stage32.com/meetups). If you don't see a Meetup in your area, keep an eye on that page for new Meetups. And you're welcome to start your own Meetup.

I can share what I've read on Reddit and what I'm following myself regarding finding a literary manager in the USA. You need to write two strong screenplays and participate in competitions. With those, you can try to find a manager. The manager then contacts agents who can show your screenplay to studios.
