Hey everyone —
I’m Charmane.
It’s been a minute since I’ve been active on Stage 32 — I’ve spent this year deep in the lab cooking: a brand-new novella, multiple feature screenplays, and a slate of stories that refused to let me sleep.
I’m a Europe-based writer who gravitates toward intense, character-driven worlds: thrillers with teeth, horror with soul, and dramas that hit where it hurts but still leave room to heal. I’m obsessed with stories about people fighting their way back to themselves.
Now that this year’s projects are locked in, I’m back here to reconnect, collaborate, and push into the next level with this community.
If you’re into bold storytelling, emotional grit, high stakes, or a little danger on the page —
I’m right here. Let’s talk.

Hey, Charmane Wedderburn. Welcome back. Congratulations on all the progress you made on your projects! How's your Thanksgiving script coming along?

Hey Maurice — thank you! It feels good to step back in after a year of building worlds and burning midnight oil.
The Thanksgiving script is alive and kicking — messy in the best way, full of family chaos, old wounds, and a few secrets that know how to knock on the door at the worst possible moment. It’s the kind of story that reminds you holidays aren’t just meals… they’re emotional battlegrounds with cranberry sauce.
I’m polishing the next pass now.
How’s your writing season going?

Hey Elle — thank you for the warm welcome! It’s lovely to meet you too.
I must’ve slipped out during one of my “vanish and write until the world stops spinning” seasons, but I’m glad to be back in the mix.
November Write Club sounds tempting… a little friendly pressure never hurt a writer, right? I’ll check out the Week 2 post — always here for craft talk and chaos control.
Looking forward to crossing paths in the lounges.

You're welcome, Charmane Wedderburn.
"messy in the best way, full of family chaos, old wounds, and a few secrets that know how to knock on the door at the worst possible moment. It’s the kind of story that reminds you holidays aren’t just meals… they’re emotional battlegrounds with cranberry sauce." I think that'd be great in your pitch!
I'm rewriting a feature script for November Write Club. I've already done two drafts for Write Club. My second goal for NWC is outline and write a short script.

Amanda, thank you — that means a lot coming from you.
For me, the motivation didn’t come from discipline at first… it came from survival. I write because the stories don’t leave me alone. They shake me awake at rude hours and drag me back to the desk.
But on the practical side? I kept myself moving by doing three things:

Charmane... What are those 3 things?

David, that’s kind of you to say — I try to season every story the way my grandmother seasoned her pots: slow, patient, and with a little danger if you know where to taste.
Hope your own pages are simmering nicely too.

Adelaide — absolutely.
My three things are simple, but they saved me this year:
1. I treated every project like a promise to my future self. Not pressure — purpose.
2. I wrote in small, steady bursts. A paragraph here, a page there. The slow burn always wins.
3. I protected my writing hours like a Sunday ritual. No guilt, no apology — just sacred time.
Those three kept me moving even when life tried to pull me off the path.

Maurice, you just made my morning — truly. If that line earns a seat in the pitch, I’ll give you the silent head-nod of respect across the room.
And two full drafts for Write Club? That’s hustle. November really separates the dabblers from the ones who bleed ink. A feature rewrite and a short script outline is a bold double-play — you’re building momentum the old-fashioned way: one clean pass at a time.
Cheering you on as you carve out the next pages. Keep going — the work always pays you back.

Thanks, Charmane Wedderburn. I plan on outlining and rewriting my short script for Week 3 of November Write Club, then do another draft of my feature script for Week 4. Keep going!

First, I love his "stories about people fighting their way back to themselves.", there's something raw about a story where a character has a breakthrough and finds themselves through the struggle of their journey. Charmane Wedderburn good luck and welcome back!
