November Write Club Week 3 Progress: A new screenplay! Christmas Is Early

Ahoy!

I cannot believe it…it's almost the end of NOVEMBER?! Time is flying, soaring, and vanishing.

First off, thank you Stage 32 for putting me as a Spotlight Member in the Writer's Room newsletter! As I read on, then I saw my name in this section, I thought…WHAT!!! Thank you so much, I am baffled time and time again at the support, encouragement and elevation this platform provides its community.

Updates: I completed my goal way sooner than expected, and finished, edited, revised, and have submitted my first soft Christmas/Holiday screenplay, "A Texas Carol", to it's first OWA for this script.

"A Texas Carol", it's a drama-family heartfelt Christmas feature screenplay.

A single mom with an only daughter dying of cancer, and a struggling cattle rancher with a family to feed must both embrace the spirit of Christmas, and come to terms with their bitterness and choose to change their ways, as their children try and save their families, with a help from "A Christmas Carol".

To end November, I will take a break for the Thanksgiving days of family gathering and relaxation, very much needed, but I will continue to research producers, and execs actively seeking these types of stories, and prepare to pitch!

Elle Bolan

Congratulations on finishing! That's awesome and that synopsis sounds like a Hallmark movie commercial already.
