Hey Creative Family,
This time of year can be tough for some, for all kinds of reasons. I lost my mom and two beautiful family dogs this year, so I understand—Christmas was good, but a bit bittersweet for us.
If you’re struggling, remember this:
Choose hope.
It’s not a feeling. It’s a choice.Please know that if you’re missing someone, wishing you had someone, or struggling in one way or many, there is at least one member of your creative family who, under his breath, whispered two words on your behalf…
“Comfort them.”
You are thought of and you are loved. My hope for you is that 2026 is a year where dreams overtake you and flood you with more goodness than you can stand.
Keep writing. Keep creating. Push through.

I have a friend named Hope, literally. Her mother chose that name to give their family strength when they fled their home as refugees, and she truly embodies the meaning of it. Thank you for reminding us of that, Leo.
This Christmas, we were all sick with a contagious flu, and my family had to stay in separate homes. But we still celebrated in the ways we could, because unconditional love anchors us, and we know we’re never truly alone.
Happy 2026, my brother. My wish is that your heart keeps growing every day, so we can continue to be inspired by you, day after day.
