Hey, Stage 32 familia!
Writer/Director from Chicago here. I'm new to the community, so I wanted to do more than be a serial observer.
I've been co-writing for about a decade and recently began to focus on my own stories. My current project, THE ASCENSION HOUSE, was a second-rounder at AFF, a semi-finalist for Ari Aster's Square Peg Social, and is now a semi-finalist for Stage 32's Search for New Blood contest! I'm super stoked and grateful for the opportunity.
Let's gallop forward together into the year of the Fire Horse! Congrats to all the other Semi-finalists!!!

Jeremy Silva, huge congratulations on THE ASCENSION HOUSE. That’s an incredible run, and seeing it gain traction across AFF, Square Peg Social, and now Stage 32’s Search for New Blood is no small thing. You should be seriously proud of that momentum.
I’m Ashley, Head of Community here at Stage 32, and I have to say, I love your declaration to be more than a serial observer. That mindset is truly the key to making waves here. The members who show up consistently, share their wins, ask questions, and engage with others are the ones who build real relationships and lasting momentum.
I’d definitely recommend spending regular time posting and jumping into conversations in the Filmmaking Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/filmmaking) and the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), and also getting involved in the Writer’s Room (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/writers-room). That’s where a lot of meaningful peer-to-peer growth and collaboration happens.
Here’s to galloping forward into the year of the Fire Horse with bold stories, strong voices, and many more wins ahead. Really excited to see what you do next.
