Hey everyone,
Whitney Young, one of our executives on the platform, just shared something that's exactly why Stage 32 exists.
She met writer Mason Greer during one of his first Stage 32 pitch sessions. The project blew her away. They've had several development and strategy calls since, and now they're close to partnering.
Tomorrow night (Saturday) they're doing a Living Look Book / reading for the project in Los Angeles, and Whitney invited the Stage 32 community to check it out.
The story: Three siblings discover their deceased grandfather may have killed Malcolm X. It's about legacy, family, and how the secrets we keep can destroy everything.
This is what we're here for — writers meeting the right executives, relationships developing beyond the initial pitch, projects moving forward.
If you're in LA tomorrow evening and want to support a Stage 32 writer whose work is advancing, here are the details:
Event: X Marks the Spot — Living Look Book / Reading
When: Saturday evening
Where: The Last Acting Studio, 1914 Raymond Avenue, Los Angeles, CA
Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/x-marks-the-spot-tickets-1982244301065
This is the kind of success that happens when writers pitch the right executives and build real relationships. Congratulations to Mason and Whitney.
See you there if you're in LA.
