Hey everyone,
I'm on a mission to create compelling films that authentically represent the experiences of Black individuals in urban settings. I'm looking for original scripts that delve into the themes of resilience, community, identity, and the vibrant culture that defines our neighborhoods.
If you have a script or an idea that explores the complexities of life in the hood — from the challenges and struggles to the joys and victories — I'd love to hear from you! I'm especially interested in stories that highlight character development, cultural representation, and thought-provoking narratives.
Let’s bring powerful stories to life that resonate with audiences and celebrate the richness of Black urban life. If you have something to share or know someone who does, please reach out!
Looking forward to collaborating and creating something impactful together!
Thank you!

Really respect the mission behind this. Authentic stories that explore identity, resilience, and the realities of urban communities are powerful when done right.
I’m currently developing a drama series called “Fake It Until You Make It,” about a young Army soldier searching for identity and belonging after becoming immersed in the street basketball and nightlife culture of Newport News, Virginia.
It’s a character-driven story about respect, environment, and the consequences of chasing an identity you feel disconnected from. Would definitely be open to connecting and sharing more if it aligns with the type of stories you’re looking to develop.
