Getting financial support for a UK short film - already produced, poised for festival circuit!

Hi all, I'm pleased to have found this community.

My film, Youth Club, was commissioned by Exeter Phoenix (UK) last May, completed in January, and won the audience Award at Two Short Nights festival last weekend. My mind is turning to finding some sponsorship/backers, as I have nearly entirely self-funded. Does anyone have any advice for finding partners to sponsor the film? We are planning to submit it to the BFI London Film Festival, Encounters, Bolton, Cannes Women Festival, LSFF, and Aesthetica, amongst others.

The film is a dark comedy about a traumatised 40 something, LOU, desperate to engage local teenagers with her youth club. But they can’t help rejecting her, seeing through her tough-woman act to the bullied teenager looking for the friendships she never had.

I think it resonated as it speaks to the tendency of adults to think they can help kids (when often its the other way around); and it uses comedy to explore themes of loneliness, ageing, and frustrated professional ambition. It features a big ensemble cast of local young actors and is a riotous, irreverent film with a great soundtrack.

Thanks for your interest!
