Introduce Yourself : Hello everyone by Joshua Bennett

Joshua Bennett

Hello everyone

Just wanted to meet you all. I am a US citizen living in the Netherlands available for US speaking acting or corporate training roles in the Netherlands or greater EU. I am available for audio narration work world wide.

I am also working on a pitch for a 2 season series show, a comedy drama about a family moving abroad but the story starts before they move. Why only 2 seasons? Well, you will have to wait to see why.

Anyway, if you are open to connecting or collaborating let me know.

Best of luck!

Leonardo Ramirez

Hey Joshua Bennett - great to meet you. I would suggest uploading some of your narrative work as samples onto your profile. We'd love to hear those! Glad you're with us!

Joshua Bennett Hi there, it’s great to connect with you.

Your project idea sounds really interesting especially the mix of comedy and drama around a family relocating and the setup leading into the move. That kind of structure really relies on strong pacing and consistent character voice to keep both the emotional and comedic beats landing properly.

I also like the way you’re building curiosity around the “why only two seasons” angle it already feels like something that depends heavily on tight narrative planning and intentional structure rather than filler storytelling.

I do beta reading and copy editing, and projects like yours are exactly the kind I enjoy working on. On the beta reading side, I focus on story clarity, pacing, character consistency, and whether the emotional beats are actually landing the way the writer intends. On the copy editing side, I refine dialogue flow, tone consistency, and readability so the script feels natural and production-ready.

If you’re open to it, I’d love to collaborate and take a look at your pitch or early material. I can give you feedback both from a story-development perspective and a line-level editing perspective so the script feels strong on both structure and execution.

Would love to hear those Joshua Bennett! Have a great week!

Ashley Renée Smith!

Hi Joshua Bennett, welcome to Stage 32! I’m Ashley, Head of Community here on the platform. It looks like both Leonardo and Michael have already shared some fantastic guidance here in the comments, so you’re off to a great start. I’d add that, with your acting background, it would be really beneficial to become a regular participant in the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting). It’s a great space to connect with other actors, share your experience, and build relationships across the community.

You may also want to explore the Writer’s Room, especially as you’re developing a series. It offers access to industry professionals, exclusive discussions, and Open Writing Assignments. You can try a free month here:

https://www.stage32.com/writers-room/plans-vip

And since you’re working on a pitch, I’d definitely recommend reaching out to our Success Team at Success@Stage32.com. If you share more about your series and your goals, they can help guide you toward curated resources and opportunities that align with where you want to take it.

I checked out your "Critical Areas" video on your profile and it's a great sample of your voice over and training capabilities. I think you'll find some great collaborators here on Stage 32 Joshua!
