WHO I AM

My name is Bipal Dahal. I am the creator and writer of HOPE — a two-season prestige television drama that I have been developing independently for several years.

HOPE is built entirely from my own vision — the world, the characters, the arc, the themes. Two complete seasons. Eighteen episodes. A series bible. All of it exists. All of it is ready.

THE GENRE

HOPE is prestige drama. Political. Human, intimate in execution.

LOGLINE - Can't everyone just be powerful together? (Spoken by 7 Years old Lily to her Father mark.

It sits at the intersection of The West Wing's belief that institutions can be good, Chernobyl's unflinching account of what it costs when they fail, and Years and Years' cross-cultural tracking of political consequence on ordinary lives.

It is set in a fully fictional world — six invented nations, no real countries, no real leaders — which gives it complete creative freedom and international production flexibility.

At its center: a celestial being who has watched humanity for a thousand years and decides — once — that it is time to act. Around him: a man who builds a world war, a child whose drawing ends up on the floor of the world's most important room, a soldier who writes everything down, and a boy who says the truest thing anyone says in the series:

"Rubble cannot reach what is real inside."

WHO I AM LOOKING TO MEET

I am actively seeking an experienced screenwriter to collaborate on polishing and sharpening the existing scripts into full production-ready format.

Specifically I am looking for someone who:

— Has genuine experience in prestige drama, political drama, or large-scale ensemble writing

— Can work with material that already has a strong foundation — sharpening dialogue, tightening action lines, bringing fresh instincts to scenes that are structurally complete

— Understands the difference between rewriting a vision and sharpening one — this is the latter

— Is interested in a creative partnership, not a work-for-hire arrangement

Season 1 and Season 2 are complete at the development level. The collaboration I am offering is the move from development document to production screenplay — precise, professional, and true to the original vision.
