Hello everyone! I wanted to take a moment and reintroduce myself to the Stage 32 community!
My name is Sean Hussey and I am a development producer currently working in the film financing space. I am particularly interested in meeting with feature film writers with creator-driven genre pieces that have a strong compelling story and marketability to global markets. Genres I love include elevated thriller, sci-fi, action, and drama!
I have been working with Stage 32 via Script Services for over two years now with no signs of stopping!
I am looking forward to sharing more about my experiences and discussing the current state of the industry across the Lounges and Blogs, and reach out if you're interested in connecting further!

hi Sean Hussey, really appreciate your focus on creator-driven genre pieces and global market potential.
I’m currently developing a feature thriller titled "Son’s Conspiracy", which centers on intense family betrayal, shifting loyalties, and high-stakes psychological tension within a modern political and business setting.
I’d describe it as a character-driven action-thriller with strong emotional intensity and commercial potential, particularly aimed at audiences that enjoy grounded but elevated suspense stories.
I’d be very interested in understanding how projects like this can be shaped further for packaging and market positioning in today’s landscape.
Looking forward to learning from your insights in the Lounges.

Hi Sean,
Great to see you here — and thank you for sharing such a clear sense of what you’re looking for.
Your focus on creator-driven genre with strong global marketability really resonates with me. I tend to work in character-driven stories that blend psychological depth with genre elements — particularly in the space between elevated thriller and grounded, surreal drama.
What I find most compelling is building concepts that are both emotionally engaging and structurally scalable — stories that can connect on a human level while still carrying clear market positioning.
I’d be very interested to hear your perspective on what currently makes a genre project feel truly “global” from a financing and development standpoint — especially in today’s shifting landscape.
Looking forward to seeing more of your insights around the Lounges.
All the Best,
Hi Sean Hussey!
I’m excited to share one of my projects with you, which fits perfectly with what you described above.
