Hello Fellow Creatives!
I wanted to say that I’m thrilled beyond measure, because I recently created and am in the process of writing my new digital series titled That Christie! I was having a meeting with one of the execs where I sent him my pilot script and he read it during our meeting (each script is short like 4 pages) and he said oh, this is great! Sure we can do this. I was so blown away! Tongal.com is giving me money to produce my 12 episode short form digital comedy series That Christie! I’m truly grateful. Go check out the platform. It’s Tongal.com. They are a platform of creators and businesses that collaborate.
Does anyone have some recent success stories the’d like to share? Would love to hear them!

Cheryl Chase Huge congratulations that’s an amazing milestone, especially getting validation in the room like that.
A 12-episode short-form series is a great format right now too it really fits how audiences are consuming content today.
Platforms like Tongal creating that bridge between creators and production is honestly exciting to see.
Curious what do you think helped the script connect so quickly in that meeting?

Abhijeet Aade well, he really thought my script and ideas were funny and producible. He knew me from my career in voiceover. He is a fan of my work. That might have helped too.

Cheryl Chase That makes a lot of sense having that existing relationship and trust must have played a big role in moving things forward.
It’s interesting how often projects come together through familiarity with someone’s work rather than just the script alone.
Did that change the way you approached developing or pitching the idea, knowing he already understood your voice?

You are in the zone. Go for it. They trust your four pages because of your background. The groundbreaking UK TV series 'The Young Ones' - i think it was - was pitched on crumpled notes written on cafe napkins.
