Hi all, This introduce yourself weekend is a good idea and I have been enjoying reading other people's intros, so here's a bit about me. I am a female actor in my fifties and I came to acting rather late, only leaving Drama School last year! I am loving all I do and have had a really good first year with five plays under my belt since leaving school. I love Shakespeare and am a good verse speaker. I also like new writing very much and am currently rehearsing two short pieces for a one night new writing festival in London. Basically I just love being an actor and playing, improvising, singing, dancing and working with such wonderful creative people. I have also acted in a number of short films and have some television experience from a while ago. If you would like to read about my journey to acting here is a link to an article that appeared in Fourth Wall Magazine in 2011: http://www.fourthwallmagazine.co.uk/2010/08/the-first-word-her-time-to-s... I have a rather basic website here: kathytrevelyan@hotmail.com I look forward to meeting and working with some of you! Kathy
Hi Kathy, I found your article very inspiring. I'm a forty-four year old musician who has done a bit of extra work and amateur theatre but am now trying to break into writing. My main project at the moment is a screen biopic of Charles Laughton and Elsa Lanchester.
