Introduce Yourself : Playwright new to London by Darren Brealey

As a Playwright I am always looking for an outlet for my work to be produced and create new work for theatre companies, big and small. I’m new to London, from Australia and have written over 20 plays and self-produced 2 books of short plays. I enjoy collaborating with fellow artisans from auditions to the final outcome when it comes to opening night; knowing as a Playwright when to let my work go to allow other professionals to give the script flight. I’m known for character-driven scripts and strong story telling. My work can be controversial, humourous and often poignant. Oh, and inconsequently, I have won some local awards for my works as well. In addition to writing and producing scripts, I’ve run a couple of workshops in the art of storytelling for different genres.
