Hello Everyone. Been a member of Stage32 for awhile, but this is my first time posting. I am currently working to start a new filmmaking magazine focused on making no-to-low budget films called Guerrilla Filmmaking Magazine. My goal with the magazine is to teach and inspire people with no money, no experience, and/or no connections - but all the passion and talent - how to make films, or how to overcome the usual hurdles of no-to-low budget films. I am currently looking for people who have made a film or two who would be willing to write an article for the magazine, in exchange for ad space to promote you, your movie(s), or your company. I have tons of topics I am looking for. If interested, please contact me on here, or send me a message on our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/GuerrillaFilmmakingMagazine We'll be a digital magazine at first, selling on Amazon, iPhone Newsstand, etc until we gain enough interest to afford the print costs. Thanks!

I'm a up and coming director/producer and could write about my experience in making my first few projects. What I've learned and how I overcame obstacles. I would like to be a part of this new magazine. Great idea!
Nice to meet you Bharat! I'll send you a private message with more info!

I've written for magazines and have had several books published. I am interested in writing for your magazine. We've recently worked with several low-budget filmmakers heading to Sundance. I know I could interview many of the directors and producers about the experience of finding funding and getting their films made.
Thanks Tanja, that would be awesome!

I'm a Veteran, and a filmmaker. I just launched our indiegogo campaign, and we are releasing the movie for FREE! I have a press release I can send you.

I'll take a look :) Let me add you, and send you my email address.
Funny, a couple of us here in Canada thought of that a few months ago and then decided that, like all the DSLR gadgets available, a magazine like that will soon face a lot of competition. However, I wish you much luck and I hope it gets off the ground.
Thanks for the best wishes! It may end up with a lot of competition, but I'm really not doing it to get rich or anything. It's really more about learning for me, and helping as many people along the way as I can - not only the readers of the magazine, but the people who write for it as well. If I can create a place for them to advertise their movies at the cost of writing an article - I think it's win/win.
Pretty close, yes, but not exactly - I have a few things I plan to do that will definitely separate me from the rest. For starters - I plan to be much cheaper :) I also plan to have several different formats I plan to rotate through, so there will be different information and different opportunities.

Hi Dustin, What a great idea. I just finished a movie that was made for no money, almost literally..... I'm also a writer so would love to collaborate. Let's connect here.
Sounds great! I'd love to hear more about it :D

Dustin, this sounds really great. I have a couple of projects that I want to shoot myself, but as a writer-actor, don't really know where to start. It sounds like this could be very valuable. Keep me posted so I can be one of your first subscribers!
Thanks Melanie! :) I really hope it turns out great, and helps people like you and I out. I sent you a network request, and will keep everyone updated. I've done a number of no-to-low budget films as an actor and filmmaker. I can share some of the pros and cons of working under these conditions from an actor's perspective, crew, or filmmaker. If this is something that interest you, lets talk!
Happy to hear people are excited about this :) I'll get you my email address and we can discuss!
That's fine, no hurries! And good luck on your interview :D

Currently in pre-production for a micro-budget short we are filming in the UK in early 2013. Any information from people who have made similar projects is always going to be both helpful and inspirational. We also have an ongoing production blog that is charting our progress which it would be great to share with people - to get feedback and advice and hopefully, also inspire others. Your project sounds great and sign me up when it comes good. We are at http:gowithgodfilm.com

Hi, I'm a film maker and writer and we could be mutually helpful. I have a site called www.thebCreativedirectory.com and we're starting an online school / course to do exactly what you're saying. We'll be announcing those details later this week. Contact me on tdklinger@yahoo.com if you're interested and we can help.
Sounds really, really cool! I'd love to hear more. I'll send you an email.
Would be interested in being involved, when I write a script I actually write specifically for no budget, factor it in
Hey Ken, Definitely! we still have room for more articles. I'd love to hear your process on writing specifically for that. I'll send you my email address in a private message.
Thanks Dustin, got it, will reply later today, Thanks

I would be glad to share my limited knowledge of the film industry. Now if you want or need assistance with design and art direction for the actual magazine, that is wheelhouse for the past twenty years.
Hi Michael, Thanks for the offer. The first issue is an "open forum" - I am allowing people to write whatever they want, so long as it is on topic of no-to-low budget filmmaking. If there is anything you feel strongly about writing about - please do! I am part owner of a graphic design company - but I have never been too good to ask for help when I need it, and I am doing this on the side :) I'll send you a private message with my direct contact info and we'll go from there! Thanks a ton!

I'd be glad to contribute to your mag and give lots of stories and examples of how we have been able to produce award winning movies with good production value for a few hundred bucks, including makeup and visual effects, lighting techniques, camera ops, etc.

Dustin, It sounds like your off to a very good start, I would be willing to read it I am always looking for new ideas. My line of work is in video (haven't moved to film yet) but I do love video. I have a small drama series (Situations) that will be coming to a season end next Monday that I hope to one day try to tape. My budget is low ( very low) so I can use the tips. I'm no professional writer but my imagination runs deep. You can check it out if you like at: http://www.videobylina.com/Situations%20archive.html Good Luck :D
