Introduce Yourself : Write on.... by Nita Storytellah Curtis

Hey everyone! My name is Nita Curtis and I am an aspiring screenwriter (who'd like to do some acting). I've always been a HUGE movie/TV junkie and have wanted to work in the industry since high school. My HS English teacher and College professors even suggested I look into writing professionally and/or pursuing a career in the creative arts. But, back then I was too afraid to branch out and expose myself that way. I wasn't mentally or emotionally ready for the rejection we all have to face. So, instead of following my dreams, I decided to settle for jobs that I hate and drain me in every way possible. Present job included. On the bright side, I've realized the life I have is not the life I want or am destined for. Its a means to an end. A way to take care of my daughter and myself. Thankfully I came to my senses and at the tender age of 30...or maybe it was 29 (LOL)...I FINALLY decided it was time to chase my dream down, catch it in a net, and make it come true. And with a little bit of luck and a LOT of hard work and perseverance, I know will ;-).
